Energizing duo for Tech 1 Racing

Brendon Hartley, entered this season in Formula Renault 3.5 Series and in Formula 3 Euro Series, has been confirmed at Tech 1 Racing for the 2010 FR 3.5 Series season. The New Zealander will play a second consecutive season with the Toulouse team but will no longer have Charles Pic at his side. The Frenchman, who participates in the GP2 Asia Series with Arden International, will be replaced at Tech 1 by the Daniel Ricciardo, champion of F3 British this year.

« Brendon learned a lot this season and showed phenomenal speed » explains Simon Abadie, team manager of Tech 1 Racing. “ He will evolve with a year of experience in the discipline, which clearly makes him a favorite for the Drivers' title. We lacked success with Brendon in 2009, but next year, if we put everything in the right order, he will be a formidable competitor. » The New Zealander, turning 20 in a few weeks, will therefore have the opportunity to assert himself after a year of learning.

Daniel Ricciardo, second in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 in 2008, will have to get tougher at the wheel of the car prepared by Tech 1 Racing. The Australian was able to test the speed of the FR 3.5 Series cars by participating this year in the Portimao races at? Tech 1 Racing, where he occasionally replaced Brendon Hartley. “ Daniel has already proven his ability to adapt very quickly, confides Simon Abadie. We are really very happy to welcome him among us, he is a great guy. From the next collective tests, next week in Barcelona, he will sit aboard what is now his car. » At Tech 1 Racing, the 2010 season has already started.
