After 7 podiums since the start of the season, Jehan Daruvala (Prema) finally won his first victory in 2022. Started in 6e position on the grid, the Indian took advantage of the numerous accidents during this Main Race to gradually move up.

In the first lap, it was pole sitter Jack Doohan (Virtuosi) who missed the start and ended his race after a collision with Logan sargeant (Carlin) after the Curva Grande. Quickly moved up to the front of the peloton, Jehan Daruvala was then helped by the misfortunes of Liam Lawson (Carlin), sent into a spin by Jüri Vips (Hitech GP), and penalties from Marcus Armstrong (Hitech GP ) to consolidate its place in the leading group.

For a long time in the exhausts of Richard Verschoor (Trident), Jehan Daruvala quietly waited for the Dutchman's obligatory stop to take the reins of the race with 5 laps to go. With a lead of almost 2 seconds over Frederik Vesti (ART Grand Prix), the Prema driver was able to reach the finish alone to win for the first time this season. Ayumu Iwasa (DAMS) completed the podium.

Goes to the mat from the start, Drugovich without pressure

As for the main leaders of the season, this Main Race was somewhat difficult. Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) for example could not make more than 3 turns this Sunday. Hit by Ralph Boschung (Campos), who had bypassed the first chicane, the Habs could do nothing and was then hit by Ollie Caldwell (Campos) finishing his race in the background.

Crowned champion the day before, Felipe Drugovich (MP Motorsport) was not helped by the Safety Car or the red flag period. Part 4e, the Brazilian finally made himself discreet, winning 7e place on arrival.
