This one, the F2 didn't necessarily see it coming. As they prepared to take to the track for the final session of winter testing in Bahrain, drivers were asked not to leave their garages due to poor weather conditions.
A sandstorm crossing the area where the Sakhir circuit is located forced the organizers to prematurely end the F2 testing week.

Regardless of the storm, the competitors were able to ride the morning when Felipe Drugovich (MP Motorsport) emerged as the fastest man of the day. With a lap of 1'44"911, the Brazilian beat his teammate Clément Novalak and Jüri Vips (Hitech GP) by 9 tenths and 1 second respectively. Teammates at Carlin, Liam Lawson and Logan sargeant completed the Top 5.
Second Frenchman entered in F2 this season after Clément Novalak, Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) did not play the times this Friday morning, surely waiting for the afternoon session to increase the pace. The Habs then settled for 8e time of the only session of the day with a best lap of 1’47”235. No doubt working the long stints, he was the most active driver on track with 56 laps.
Hadjar continues in Bahrain
Fastest man since the start of these winter tests thanks to his lap in 1’47”516 achieved Thursday afternoon, Isack Hadjar (Hitech GP) once again made a strong impression. Regularly present on the Sakhir asphalt during the morning session, the Ile-de-France native was able to improve his mark from the day before by setting a 1’47”247.
A performance which allowed him to take almost 4 tenths ahead of his closest pursuer, Jak Crawford (Prema) while Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) completed the morning Top 3 a little further behind.
The afternoon was quieter but still eventful for Isack Hadjar who was clearly working on another aspect than speed. Nothing too serious for the Habs who finished 24the with a best lap of 1'51"825 in a session where the checkerboard was going to be agitated earlier than expected due to the sandstorm. Note that no improvement was recorded during the 2nd session of the F3.
