And four for Oscar piastri ! In nighttime conditions, the Australian set the best time for the fourth time in a row in the qualifying session, held this Friday evening in Jeddah. The championship leader beat his teammate Robert Shwartzman (Prema), giving Prema a good front row. He also pocketed the 4 pole points.

ART Grand Prix and Theo Pourchaire were also there. The Burgundian team will indeed dominate the second row of the main race this Sunday. While he was on provisional pole two minutes from the end, Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) was only beaten by the two Prema drivers, and was ahead of his teammate Christian Lundgaard (ART Grand Prix).

The good operation is total for Oscar Piastri, since his closest rival in the championship, the Chinese Guanyu-Zhou (UNI-Virtuosi), could not do better than 6th, behind his teammate Felipe Drugovich (UNI-Virtuosi). Note the 9th place of Marcus Armstrong, which allows DAMS to appear in the first part of the table. The New Zealander will start on the front row on Saturday in race 1.

Good session for Novalak, 12th

Despite his crash in free practice earlier in the day, Logan sargeant (HWA Racelab), who was discovering the category, was able to participate in the qualifying session, but was unable to perform a miracle (21st). The nice surprise came from Frenchman Clément Novalak (MP Motorsport), author of the 12th time for his first time at the wheel of this car. He is ahead of his teammate Jack Doohan, also a debutant in F2

Disappointment on the other hand for Carlin. Accustomed to performing in qualifying, Dan Ticktum (Carlin) and Jehan Daruvala (Carlin) had a complicated session. The Briton was hampered by a stubborn right rear tire after hitting a banana (13th). The Indian just didn't find the rhythm (11th). Liam Lawson (Hitech), 10th in the session, will start in pole position for Race 1.
