He is definitely at home. After taking two pole positions at Silverstone in 2020 when he was in F3, Logan sargeant (Carlin) once again distinguished himself on the English track this Friday. Already in the lead in practice at the end of the morning, the American did it again during qualifying where he was the fastest man in the field.

At a frantic pace, Logan Sargeant continued to drop the times at Silverstone. After dominating the first part of qualifying with a lap in 1'38"946, the Carlin driver left his rivals no chance, improving his previous mark by more than half a second by crossing the line in 1'38 “432. Behind, Frederik Vesti (ART Grand Prix), Felipe Drugovich (MP Motorsport) or even Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) tried as hard as they could but they were never able to overtake the American, finishing a little over a tenth behind.

Vips far from the first row, Daruvala on pole in the Sprint

For the first time this season, Jüri Vips (Hitech GP) will not start the Main Race from the front row. Used to playing in front, the Estonian was more discreet this time. Not really in the game, the driver of the English team settled for 8e time almost 6 tenths behind poleman Logan Sargeant.

Absent from the fight for pole position, Jehan Daruvala (Prema) finally won one even if it was not that of the Main Race. Tenth under the checkerboard with a time of 1'39"115, 6 tenths from the lead, the Indian will start from the first place on the grid for the Sprint Race this Saturday (18:00 p.m.).
