Armstrong strong winner in Budapest

Marcus Armstrong (Prema Racing) took advantage of his pole in Race 2 at the Hungaroring to take victory. The New Zealander crossed the finish line with a dozen seconds ahead of Leonardo Pulcini (Hitech GP) who started alongside him.

It was Jake Hughes (HWA Racelab) who once again completed the podium after having already taken 3rd place in the race the day before. The Briton took advantage of the clash between championship leader Robert Shwartzman (Prema Racing) and Felipe Drugovich (Carlin Buzz Racing) who had to retire.

Jüri Vips (Hitech GP) took 4th place ahead of Christian Lundgaard (ART GP), the winner the day before. Max Fewtrell (ART GP) was also at the front before having to retire with a mechanical problem.

Robert Shwartzman will arrive at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) on the weekend of August 30 maintaining a 12-point lead. The Russian took advantage of the bad weekend of his former direct rival Jehan Daruvala (Prema Racing), only 7th in Race 2 after failing just outside the Top 10 the day before. It is now Jüri Vips who is his closest opponent.
