Arthur Leclerc promoted to FIA F3 at Prema

Clearly, Prema is quick to reveal the identity of its drivers for the 2021 season. The first team to have announced its driver duo in F2 with Robert Shwartzman and Oscar piastri, and the first formation to have formalized a recruit in Formula Regionale by Alpine with the arrival of David Vidales, the Italian team is once again the first to announce its first FIA driver F3.

It is in fact the Monegasque Arthur Leclerc, who took part in the two phases of end-of-season testing in FIA F3 with the Italian team. The 20-year-old driver knows the house well having frequented it throughout this 2020 season in Formula Regional Europe, where he finished vice-champion behind Gianluca Petecof, with 8 poles and 6 victories.

“I am extremely happy to welcome Arthur to our F3 team. He had a very high quality 2020 season, finishing the championship with more wins than anyone else. He's a hard worker and that's exactly the kind of approach we're looking for at this level." said René Rosin.
