Beckmann wins in race 2, Pourchaire 6th

David Beckmann (Trident) wins this Sunday in Hungary his first victory in FIA F3. The German driver overtook the championship leader Oscar piastri (Prema Racing) and the Norwegian Dennis Hauger (Hitech).

Starting from pole, Beckmann took his third podium of the season and confirmed his consistency as he scored points in each race. However, it is Bent Viscaal (MP Motorsport), author of a podium in race 1 on Saturday, who crossed the finish line first.

But the Dutchman received a ten-second penalty, found guilty of a collision with Igor Fraga (Charouz) on the second lap, then of overtaking beyond the limits of the track on Logan sargeant (Prema), at the same place where the American driver was sanctioned for the same reasons on Saturday (lap 13).

Up to two laps from the finish, Viscaal could aim for points despite his heavy penalty, but the deployment of a safety car ruined his work and his hopes.

Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix), who started in 10th position thanks to his victory in race 1 on Saturday, also took some important points in the championship. Despite a difficult start which caused him to lose 3 places, the native of Grasse moved up seven places to finally take 6th place, ahead of his two teammates Alexander Smolyar and Sebastian Fernandez.

The race was more difficult for his compatriot Clement Novalak (Carlin) on the other hand. The Franco-Swiss, who started on the front row (2nd), finished out of the points after suffering a sudden loss of grip.
