The championship leader is there! At the end of a session where we had to wait until the end to know the outcome, it was Gabriel Bortoleto who took the first pole position in the history of the F3 in Australia. This is also the first for the Brazilian in the category, who is only competing in his second round.

The road to it was nevertheless very long because we had to escape the many traps of Albert Park. Something that Pepe Martí (Campos) and Kaylen Frederick (ART Grand Prix) failed to do, both of whom made mistakes and caused the neutralization of these qualifications. In the game from the first green flag waved, Gabriel Bortoleto never trembled. If he had to fight against his adversaries, the Auriverde dealt the fatal blow to the gong.

The pack restarted for the last 4 minutes, the times logically dropped as the session progressed. In the lead before the final neutralization, Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) could not resist the latest attacks from his opponents. Already fighting for pole position at the start of the session, the Trident driver was ahead of Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) and Gabriele Mini (Hitech GP) as they approached the checkerboard thanks to a last pass in 1'33"025. With more than a tenth and a half, Gabriel Bortoleto secured the right to lead the peloton in the Main Race on Sunday.

Concerning the Sprint Race on Saturday, it was Sebastián Montoya (Hitech GP) who took pole position thanks to his 12th place on the timesheet.
