Bortoleto becomes first F3 pole-sitter in Australia

The championship leader is there! At the end of a session where we had to wait until the end to know the outcome, it was Gabriel Bortoleto who took the first pole position in the history of the F3 in Australia. This is also the first for the Brazilian in the category, who is only competing in his second round.

Already fighting for pole position at the start of the session, the Trident driver was ahead of Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) and Gabriele Mini (Hitech GP) as they approached the checkerboard thanks to a last pass in 1'33"025. With more than a tenth and a half, Gabriel Bortoleto secured the right to lead the peloton in the Main Race on Sunday.

Concerning the Sprint Race on Saturday, it was Sebastián Montoya (Hitech GP) who took pole position thanks to his 12th place on the timesheet.
