Seven points. This is what separates the three leading men in Formula 3 this season. Thanks to great consistency and two victories in the main race, Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix) has held the lead in the championship since the first round in Bahrain, without however having managed to make the break. Behind him, Isack Hadjar, irresistible in Austria, and Arthur Leclerc, who probably benefits from the best package, are in ambush.

So obviously, promoter Bruno Michel is particularly enthusiastic to witness such a close battle for the title between the three young men after five of the nine rounds scheduled on the calendar. “I don’t remember such a close top 3 since the end of the 2020 season and the battle between Oscar piastri, Theo Pourchaire et Logan sargeant who fought for the title", commented Michel in the column dedicated to him on the official website of the Formula 3.

“After five rounds, only 7 points separate Martins, Hadjar and Leclerc. Martins has dominated the championship since the first round, but has yet to have a perfect weekend. To Spielberg, he was frustrated that a red flag would shorten qualifying. He had the feeling of benefiting from the car to pick up Hadjar. In a sprint race, he didn't have the pace to move up the peloton. And in the main race, he managed to take 2nd place, signing a fifth podium in 2022” he analyzed.

As a reminder, there are four rounds left in Hungary, Belgium, the Netherlands and Monza to decide between these three. Unless Jak Crawford, Roman Stanek or Ollie Bearman, a little further down the rankings, interfere in the fight for the title. See you at the Hungaroring (July 29-31) for the next game.
