Collet secures his 2nd victory by winning the Sprint at Zandvoort

Since Hungary and his first victory of the season, Caio Collet has been in very good shape. A week after his pole position at Spa-Francorchamps, the Brazilian went for his 2e success of the campaign by once again winning the Sprint Race.

Left since 2e line, the MP Motorsport driver made a great start, immediately coming back into contact with “poleman” Juan Manuel Correa (ART Grand Prix). After a first attempt at 4e lap, Caio Collet returned to the charge a loop later with a daring attack at the first corner. Well helped by a better speed at the exit, the Auriverde left no chance for his counterpart who was forced to give in before the first banking of the Dutch route. Therefore, the member of theAlpine Academy set its own pace, gradually letting go of Juan Manuel Correa, too short to keep up the pace, until crossing the finish line with more than 4 seconds in advance and with the point for the best lap in the race.

Points for Hadjar and Martins

In the race for the title the big winners of this Sprint Race are Isack Hadjar (Hitech GP) and Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix). Taking advantage of the poor positions on the grid of their rivals from Prema, Oliver Bearman (13th) and Arthur Leclerc (20th), the French took the checkerboard in 6th and 7th places respectively.

With these results, Isack Hadjar retains the lead in the championship with 111 points while Victor Martins moves up to 2nd position, 3 lengths behind his compatriot. Oliver Bearman and Arthur Leclerc are 3rd and 4th with 105 and 101 units on each side.
