It's done ! Ultra-dominant throughout the season, Dennis Hauger (Prema) won the second title of his career (Italian F4 champion in 2019) in car thanks to his 4th place in Race 1, this Friday in Sochi. The equation was simple for the Norwegian: he had to score six points more than his only competitor for the title, the Australian Jack Doohan (Trident). Only 9th in qualifying, the Prema driver had the advantage starting from 4th position while Doohan, author of pole for the main race, started 12th.

The poor start of the Australian, who quickly found himself in 17th position, made Hauger's task easier. But the latter was not content to passively wait for his moment of glory. Calm and calm at the start, he took the time to swallow Jak Crawford (Hitech) on the 2nd lap then Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) on the 11th. The Norwegian would have loved to cement his championship title with a victory, but once he reached second position, he was too far away from Logan sargeant (Charouz).

Nice comeback from Novalak

Despite an intense end to the race between the two men, the American won and took the opportunity to score his first victory of the season and his third in Formula 3Above all, he offered Charouz Racing System its first victory in Formula 3 since the creation of the championship. The American, who started on the front line, was able to make the difference when the lights went out, at the end of the long straight of 800 meters.

Intelligently, the one who finished 3rd in the championship with Prema last season nestled in the aspiration of the pole sitter, the Frenchman Victor Martins, before easily passing him. Victor Martins therefore finished 3rd and on the podium for the sixth time this season. The Ile-de-France rider had the merit of resisting the supersonic return of Clément Novalak (Trident) in the very last laps. Starting 11th, the Trident driver finished just off the podium but scored as many points as his compatriot thanks to the two points for the best lap in the race. Doohan's final fifteenth place therefore offers the title to Hauger with two races remaining.
