Almost nine months after its debut, the 2021 campaign of F3 has come to an end. This Wednesday afternoon saw the final session of end-of-season testing, scheduled in particular for future drivers in the category to gradually acclimatize with their next car.

In a session where the work was probably focused on long stints as evidenced by the times recorded, Jack Doohan (Van Amersfoort Racing) showed himself to be the fastest man on the Ricardo Tormo tarmac.

With 29 laps to his name this Wednesday afternoon, the Australian dominated the timesheet with a best time of 1'22"354, ahead of Reece Ushijima (Campos) and Jonny Edgar (Trident) by 0"191 and 0 “304 respectively. Behind, teammates Jack Doohan, Alexander Smolyar and Filip Ugran completed the Top 5. Both were just under 4,5 tenths behind the checkered flag.

Still in the learning phase, Isack Hadjar (Hitech Grand Prix) made a leap forward in the ranking, going from 17th to 10th place this Wednesday afternoon. The Ile-de-France resident nevertheless did not improve his morning mark (1'22"045) settling for a 1'23"011 just over 6 tenths behind Jack Doohan. Second Frenchman present in Valencia, Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix) clearly placed the emphasis on race pace since he only set the 28th time (1'24"632) 2"278 from the lead.

Leader of the morning session, Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) was not on the attack for the second outing of the day. The Swiss ranked only 22nd, just behind the Argentinian Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) for 1 seconds behind the time reference.

The 2021 season finished, the teams are now looking towards 2022 and the first tests planned for the first quarter of next year.
