Two meetings. The championship of F3 is coming to an end soon, and before heading to Austin for the final stage of the season (October 22-24), the drivers meet at Zandvoort. The opportunity for Dennis Hauger (Prema Racing) to increase his lead and make up for the points lost during the Spa-Francorchamps GP. “Last weekend was a little more complicated for me. I didn't manage to come back enough and we lost a lot of points." he slipped. The poor performance of the Norwegian driver benefited his runner-up Jack Doohan (Trident), who thanks to his pole position and his two victories in Belgium, is only 25 points behind in the championship (compared to 63 before Spa). The three contenders for the title will therefore battle it out this weekend on a circuit that they will all discover. A good thing for Frederik Vesti (Art Grand Prix): “For me it's great that the last two rounds of the championship take place on unique tracks, which no one really knows in the category. It’s going to be really cool.” And it’s also good for fairness.

DEnnis Hauger: “ JI only focus on myself”

Leader of the ranking but with a lead that fell by half last weekend, Dennis Hauger knows that he no longer has the right to make mistakes against his direct competitors. Additional pressure that the Norwegian seems to manage as best as possible. “I have the same approach every weekend. I don't care about what's going on around me and I only focus on myself." Prema's flagship driver does not seem to have lost confidence despite the poor results in Belgium. He systematically did the job to maximize everything he could, especially in race 3 where he was able to get back into the points. Winner of the last two races, Jack Doohan arrives with full confidence to tackle this weekend in the Netherlands. But the Australian assures him, he does not intend to change his attitude. “In a situation like mine, being back in the fight for the title, I mainly have to concentrate on my work. But of course I still believe in my chances of being titled, as long as the season is not over, there is a chance.”

Frederik Vesti: “Fighting for the championship means a lot to a driver”

All three drivers can still claim overall victory. At the press conference, the three young men were very satisfied to still be in the fight for the title. “ It's obviously a good feeling to be at the top and to be able to show what you can do.", Judge Dennis Hauger. Frederik Vesti affirms that“As a driver, I love it. STo fight for the championship means a lot. It’s the result of so many things, teamwork and also preparation”. The Danish driver, however, highlighted a lack of consistency in his performances following numerous technical problems encountered during this season. “I think that’s why we’re missing a few points in the standings.” For his part, Jack Doohan wanted to pay tribute to Trident, which allows him to be in this position two rounds from the end of the championship: “I am very grateful to my team which allows me to fight in the best possible conditions.” In the fight for the title, be careful not to forget Victor Martins, Alexander Smolyar and Clément Novalak, who remain in ambush between 4th and 6th positions.
