Pre-season testing: Grégoire Saucy dominates the first day

The start of the 2023 season is not far away. While waiting for the first round in Bahrain (March 3-5), the drivers of F3 are already present on site to carry out pre-season testing. On the program, three days of riding with two three-hour sessions per day. The ball started this Tuesday and it was Grégoire Saucy who “stood out”.

Still present in the ranks of ART Grand Prix for his second year in Formula 3, the Swiss dominated the day's two sessions on the Sakhir track. During the morning, the activity on the track was not enormous since the drivers did not string together the laps, as evidenced by the greatest total achieved of 18 laps by Sebastian Montoya (Hitech Grand Prix). In terms of times, Grégoire Saucy finished at the top of the timesheet with a best time of 1'49"155. A smooth start since the times were one second slower compared to free practice for the first round of last season on this same track.

We had to wait until the afternoon to see more activity on the track. This time, all the drivers exceeded the bar of 20 laps and some even that of 30. This made it possible to see faster times but it was once again Grégoire Saucy who took first place.^st place improving by more than a second and a half with a final mark of 1'47"563. In the standings, he was ahead of Paul Aron (Prema) by more than 3 tenths and Pepe Martí (Campos) by half a second.
