Grégoire Saucy continues his good momentum. If these are only pre-season tests, the ART Grand Prix driver is leaving nothing to chance for the moment. Author of the best times of the two sessions of the previous day, the Swiss did it again this Wednesday morning by pointing to the top of the time sheet.
In what was his most active session so far for him with 35 laps completed, Grégoire Saucy achieved his best lap in 1'46"642 ahead of rookies Dino Beganovic (Prema) and Gabriele Mini (Hitech GP) of about half a second. Gabriel Bortoleto (Trident) and Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) completed the Top 5 of the morning, also around 5/6 tenths of the Swiss' benchmark.
In the afternoon, it was Gabriele Mini who put an end to Grégoire Saucy's perfect start to these pre-season tests. Third in the morning, the Italian, new recruit to the academy Alpine, took the lead during the 2e outing of the day.
In a session where he did a little less driving (29 laps compared to 38 in the morning), the Hitech GP driver visibly worked on the long stints. His best mark of the afternoon was 1'48"175, 1"5 slower than his counterpart earlier in the day. Grégoire Saucy finished just behind him for 36 thousandths while Sebastián Montoya (Hitech GP) completed the podium at 99 tenths of a thousandth.
