A new stage in the career of Gabriele Mini. The Italian will participate in the championship Formula 3 next season, by joining the Hitech team. The young 17-year-old driver will join the team that trained Isack Hadjar in 2022.

Gabriele Mini had already got to know F3 and the British team during post-season testing in Jerez in October, setting the best time on the first day. He also competed in 4 of 5 Formula Regional Asia races with Hitech GP earlier this year, finishing 4th in the standings. The Sicilian won the title of European Formula Regional vice-champion this season, with three victories and six podiums. In 2020, Mini won the Italian F4 championship title on its debut in car.

“Formula 3 is the logical step” for Gabriele Mini

“After two seasons in FRECA, Formula 3 is the logical step for me and I am delighted to join Hitech for the 2023 season,” rejoiced Gabriele Mini. We already worked together last winter in Formula Regional Asia and achieved good results. The team did a solid job last season fighting for the drivers' title until the last round, so I'm confident they will perform at the highest level. Testing at Jerez last month went well and I can't wait to be back in the car next year. »

Hitech team principal Oliver Oakes is looking forward to working with the young talent from Palermo. “I have followed Gabriele's career for some time through Karting, then in F4. We had the pleasure of working with him earlier this year in Asian F3 with good results, seeing first-hand his commitment and talent. He had an impressive season in FRECA and was immediately up to speed during the F3 post-season testing at Jerez. We look forward to seeing it with Hitech in 2023.”
