France is very present at Silverstone this weekend. The main leaders of this Sprint Race, Isack Hadjar (Hitech GP) and Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix) made the Marseillaise ring loud and clear in Great Britain where the first city signed its 2e success of the season after his victory in the Sprint to open the season in Bahrain.

Victor Martins had however done the hardest part by getting the better of pole sitter Reece Ushijima (VAR) even before the first corner. On a very good pace, the ART Grand Prix driver seemed in a good position to achieve his third victory of the season, thus consolidating his lead at the top of the championship. But that was without counting on the intervention of the safety car 3 laps from the end after the collision between the drivers Charouz, Laszlo Toth and Zdenek Chovanek. A situation which has suited Isack Hadjar until now in ambush behind the leader.

Having moved up to 2nd a few minutes before the Safety Car entered the scene, the Ile-de-France resident waited behind Victor Martins at the time of the restart while waiting to find the opening. After a few laps of creating his plan, Isack Hadjar made a fatal attack on the 16th of the 17 laps of this Sprint Race to take control for the first time.

Passing in front of Victor Martins, Isack Hadjar was then able to open a slight gap to avoid a possible final response from his opposite number. Definitely safe from the ART Grand Prix driver, the rookie reached the finish without incident to win a second victory this season after the Sprint Race in Bahrain last March. Thanks to this success, Isack Hadjar moved up to 2rd place in the championship, still led by Victor Martins. Starting from pole position, Reece Ushijima tried to get back into the leading group but ultimately settled for the last step of the podium. Kush Maini (MP Motorsport) and Kaylen Frederick (Hitech GP) completed the Top 3.
