Liam Lawson dominates Prema drivers in race 1

Liam Lawson. (Hitech) has tamed the Prema drivers. The New Zealand driver triumphed over the championship leader, the Australian Oscar piastri (Prema) and his runner-up, the American Logan sargeant (Prema). Starting from 2nd place, the member of the Junior Team of Red Bull took final control of the race on the first lap, overtaking pole sitter Logan Sargeant.

This does not mean that he has an easy race. Far from there. Halfway through the race, the two cars from the Italian team even started to come back on him. He even had to work to keep Piastri behind him, while the latter tried to take him to the outside on lap 10. But his virile defense was perfect.

The New Zealander also benefited from a second part of the race cut short by the two Safety Cars, after the slight collision between Doohan and Viscaal in front of the pit entrance, then the more spectacular one between Max Fewtrell (Hitech), Olli Caldwell (Trident) and Lucas Dunner (MP Motorsport).

The state of the car Trident was even chilling but all the pilots are doing well. It was also under a safety car that Lawson crossed the finish line as the winner.

On the French side, Clément Novalak (Carlin), starting from 11th position, finished 8th and in the points. He also pockets the two points for the fastest lap in the race, and will have all the luxury of starting from the second row in race 2 on Sunday. Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) finished 12th, after an eventful race in the peloton.
