Lirim Zendeli on pole after qualifying disrupted by rain, Pourchaire 2nd

Funny qualification in Formula 3 this Friday. To set a fast time, you had to get up very early. By setting a good time on their first attempt, Lirim Zendeli and Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) secured the front row, ahead of another resident of the French team, Alexander Smolyar. This is the first pole position in FIA F3 for Lirim Zendeli and the Trident team since F3 was named that (2019).

The three men were not worried throughout the session, since the agitation of the red flag following the exit of the road of Michael Belov (Charouz) did their business, as did the appearance of rain, which intervened mid-session. It was also just before the weather got bad that Logan sargeant, the championship leader, managed to get the 4th fastest time of the session. A good operation in the fight for the title since Oscar piastri (Prema) will only start in 8th position, just behind Liam Lawson (Hitech).

Trapped by traffic, Clément Novalak struggled to set a fast lap. He will start 23rd on Friday. For his first qualification in F3, Pierre-Louis Chovet (Hitech) set the 27th fastest time. Race 1 will take place this Saturday at 10:25 a.m.
