It's the end of hibernation for the FIA Formula 3. This Wednesday March 20 and Thursday March 21, 30 drivers gathered at the Paul-Ricard circuit (Var) for the first day of collective testing of this championship born from the merger between the GP3 Series and Formula 3 Europe.

After a calm first day and marked by the best time of Marcus Armstrong (Prema), the competitors increased the pace during the second day of testing. The New Zealander was on course to do it again during the morning session, until Christian lundgaard (ART Grand Prix) beat him less than 10 minutes before the lunch break.
The vice-champion of Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup 2018 completed a tour in 1'48''786. This effort will not be beaten during the rest of the day with a rise in temperatures in the Var.
Leonardo Pulcini (Hitech GP), Robert Shwartzman (Prema) and Yifei Ye (Hitech GP) complete the top 5. The afternoon session saw the Japanese Yuki tsunoda (Jenzer Motorsport) sign the best performance in 1'49''301. This time, it was the duo from the Trident team who accompanied him in the top 3, Niko Kari and Pedro Piquet.
The second stage of this test tour is scheduled for Barcelona (Spain) on April 9 and 10.
