Victor Martins crowned F3 champion at Monza

Safety-Car, red flag, penalty, the Main Race was not easy for him but Victor Martins can take a breather, he is champion of F3 ! Part 4^e on the grid this Sunday, the Tricolore made a very good start quickly passing 3^e. The ART Grand Prix driver then took advantage of a poorly managed restart by Zane Maloney (Trident) to go 2^e before taking the lead ahead of Alexander Smolyar (MP Motorsport) who was suffering with his car.

New leader but lacking pace against Zane Maloney and Oliver Bearman (Prema), Victor Martins was forced to lose to his two direct rivals for the title. Regardless of this downgrading of 2 places, its 3^e provisional position and the 15 points allowed him to secure the title. This was without counting on a red flag at 18^e of the 22 laps.

Invited to return to the pit lane, Victor Martins was informed of a 5-second penalty for not respecting the limits even though the race was not going to be restarted.
