- Second victory of the 2023 season for Zak O'Sullivan. After the Sprint Race in Australia last April, the Prema driver won the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona this Saturday.
- Propelled into pole position due to the inverted grid, the Englishman retained his position at the start of the first corner but had to deal with pressure from Luke Browning (Hitech GP) in the first laps. Despite the attempts of his compatriot, the protégé of Williams didn't break down. He had to defend his position but he always showed himself to be irreproachable when stopping his counterpart's attempts.
- Despite a final restart of the race three laps from the end after the exits of Christian Mansell (Campos) and Dino Beganovic (Prema), Zak O'Sullivan managed the exercise perfectly to sign his second success of the year. With a better reaction at the start, Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident) surprised Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) to steal third place on the Catalan podium and not give it back to him.
- Championship leader and 7e on the grid this Saturday, Gabriel Bortoleto (Trident) went for big points in the fight for the title. The Brazilian took advantage of the battles in front of him to discreetly gain positions until clinching the checkerboard in 4e instead.
- Unhappy in qualifying on Friday and forced to come back from 18e instead, Gabriele Mini (Hitech GP) made it. Equipped with great top speed, the Italian chained overtakes through the peloton and even managed to move up to 8e rank. Bad luck for the academy member Alpine, convicted of a collision with Christian Mansell. Penalized by 10 seconds, the Transalpine fell to 21e rank. A hard blow after having shown very good things during the 21 laps of the race.
