Alexander Smolyar (MP Motorsport) set the tone for the afternoon, during this first day of testing. F3 in Barcelona, when most teams focused on long runs. The Dutch team also places its two other drivers in the top 4, while Victor Martin (ART Grand Prix), championship leader, is knocking on the door of the top 10.
The French are more discreet
If Matteo Nannini for his part (ART Grand Prix) was unable to take to the track before the second half of the session, Isack Hadjar (Hitech GP) – winner of the first sprint race of the season – also experienced the same comes out, leaving the pits after only an hour of running. The young pilot Red Bull had caused the first red flag of the morning by stopping suddenly at the third turn and was only able to complete 9 laps during the afternoon.

The Frenchman is also ahead of Arthur Leclerc (Prema) in the ranking, by only a few hundredths. The other tricolor on the grid, Victor Martins, remained somewhat behind during this session, still completing 36 laps and finishing in eleventh place. The championship leader, relegated to more than a second behind Alexander Smolyar, mainly focused on the race relays in this second part of the session.
Franco Colapinto (Van Amersfoort Racing) is the driver who completed the most laps (54), followed by his teammate Rafael Villagomez and Nazim Azman (Hitech) (50). The session also took place under the green flag throughout the afternoon, without any incident to report.
