Barely rewarded with the Laureus Award for the best comeback of the year, after his terrible accident at the FIA F3 World Cup in Macau in 2018, Sophia Florsch saw its main program take shape in car for 2020.
After competing in Formula Regional Europe with Van Amersfoort Racing in 2019, the German, who told us about her desire to take the next step in 2020 in F3, has sealed an agreement with the Spanish structure Campos Racing.
“I am very happy to participate in the FIA F3 Championship with Campos Racing, comments Sophia Flörsch. This will be my first season in real Formula 3 with Pirelli tires, DRS and the Mecachrome engine.
Without any test days, I have to learn a lot but I can't wait to compete against the best drivers. For me it is important to improve every race weekend, work with the team and have fun. It's going to be a great year. The experience of Adrian Campos and his team will certainly help me. »
Sophia Flörsch, however, had a taste of the FIA F3 single-seater during the last FIA F3 World Cup in Macau where she was forced to retire. At Campos Racing, she will support Alessio Deledda and Alex Peroni, who have just been made official for a second campaign with the Iberian team.
