The return of the sun to the Italian capital allowed DS Techeetah and Jean-Éric Vergne to shine during qualifying for the second ePrix of Formula E this Sunday April 10. The double champion of the electric discipline actually set the best time for the second round of the weekend in Rome.

This is the 13th pole collected by the Frenchman in FE, his first of the 2021-22 season. ''JEV'' beat Jake Dennis (Andretti). The second row of the starting grid will be occupied by André Lotterer (Porsche) and Saturday's winner, Mitch Evans (Jaguar).

The championship leader, Edoardo Mortara (Venturi) set the 11th time, ahead of Sergio Sette Câmara (Dragon / Penske) who ended the session in the wall. For Nissan e.dams, the ordeal continues with Sébastien Buemi 15th and Maximilian Günther 17th. It's even worse for NIO 333, subscribed to the last places (Dan Ticktum 20th and Oliver Turvey 22nd).

The start of the event is set for 15 p.m.
