Several hours after a completely crazy race, the Misano E-Prix offers a final twist this Saturday. As night fell on the Adriatic Sea which borders the circuit, the FIA announced the disqualification of the Porsche n°13 of the winner, Antonio Félix da Costa. The Portuguese was disqualified because the accelerator damper spring was found to be non-compliant. Porsche has already indicated its intention to appeal this decision: the German team has 96 hours to officially file its appeal.

As a result, the cars behind Antonio Félix da Costa in the original race standings move up one place, meaning Oliver Rowland inherits the victory. The Briton and Nissan achieve their first success in Formula E for four years and the 2020 Berlin E-Prix.

Jake Dennis (Andretti) moved up to second place, while Maximilian Günther (Maserati) climbed onto the podium. Sacha Fenestraz (Nissan) enters the points zone with 9th place. Note that Sergio Sette Camara (ERT), 7th at the finish, also received a drive-through penalty – converted into a time penalty of 50 seconds – for overconsumption of energy. He falls to 15th place. In the championship, Oliver Rowland therefore increases his lead in the championship with 80 points, ahead of Jake Dennis and his 71 points.
