FR 2.0 – Aitken and Jörg win at Silverstone

The two races of the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 contested this Saturday on the British track of Silverstone allowed Jack Aitken (Koiranen GP) and Kevin Jörg (Josef Kaufmann Racing) to perform well in the championship.

Winner of a first race notably marked by accidents involving Fortec Motorsports drivers Jehan Daruvala, Ben Barnicoat and Ferdinand Habsburg who notably took off on the track, Aitken beat Harrison Scott (AVF) to the finish to sign his second success of the season . Jake Hugues (Koiranen GP) finished 3rd.

In the second race, Kevin Jörg got the best start against Aitken who started from pole. Pursued by Ben Barnicoat, the Swiss nevertheless retained the advantage and headed towards his first victory in 2015. Behind Jörg, Jack Aitken will finally get rid of Barnicoat, imitated in the process by Jake Hugues who drops to ten points in the general classification of Louis Delétraz (Josef Kaufmann Racing) 9th and 8th this Saturday.

Anthoine Hubert (Tech 1 Racing) finished twice as the best Frenchman, rising to 14th and 9th position.
