FR 2.0 – R-ace GP becomes ART Junior Team

After winning the GP2 and the F3 Euroseries, ART arrives in FR 2.0. The team dear to Nicolas Todt and Frédéric Vasseur has joined forces with R-ace GP, which has been racing in the series since 2011.

FR 2.0 – R-ace GP becomes ART Junior Team

ART Grand Prix continues to develop. After having experienced significant success in GP2 and F3 Euroseries, as well as in GT Tour, the French team is now attacking the base of the championships Single seat, the formula Renault 2.0. On this occasion, the team joined forces with Thibaut de Mérindol?s team, R-ace GP, present in the championship since 2011.

The latter admitted to being very happy with this opportunity for his team: “This is an important step for our structure, carried out as a continuation of the work undertaken over the last two seasons with ART Grand Prix. Our ambition is to offer our pilots, engineers and mechanics the opportunity to evolve competitively within a sector ranging from karting at the gates of the Formula 1. The objective of the ART sector is to train the best professional drivers of tomorrow and our mission within this sector is very clear: to support karting drivers in their discovery of motorsport and prepare them to evolve at the highest level in the international single-seater championships. Beyond driving techniques and understanding vehicle dynamics, our training must include working methods within a racing team as well as the management of competition-related issues. »

ART Junior Team will welcome the three French drivers this season Esteban Ocon, Andrea Pizzitola and Alex Baron in his ranks for the European Championship. In FR 2.0 NEC (North European Championship), Tanart Sathienthirakul and Nicolas Jamin have been announced. For Mérindol, hopes are high in the Eurocup: “The arrival of Esteban Ocon? Lotus F1 Junior Team driver? alongside Andrea Pizzitola allows us to count on a duo of fast and experienced drivers to position us from the outset in the leading peloton. We also expect a lot from Alex Baron, undisputed Auto Sport Academy Champion in 2012 and supported by All Road Management. We are counting on him to retain the honorary title of best rookie that we acquired last year. »
