FR 3.5 – Felix da Costa logically extends at Arden Caterham

Antonio Felix da Costa extends his contract with Arden Cartheman. For the first time, the driver will be able to race a full season in Formula Renault 3.5. The Portuguese, author of a phenomenal end to the 2012 season, finished fourth in the general classification last year, only participating in the championship from the sixth race. He then arrived to replace driver Lewis Williamson. A change that proved wise, with the Lusitano winning four victories and six podiums. Also competing last year in GP3, he was a serious candidate in the fight for the title, notably author of three victories. He will ultimately finish third in the Drivers' standings.

Thanks to his performances in 2012, the young Portuguese, 21 years old, was then offered a place during the youth trials in Formula 1, within Red Bull and aboard an RB8. Author of the second time on the first day of testing, the Portuguese will finish at the top of the ranking at the end of the second day. To end a breathtaking season in style, Antonio Felix da Costa put his name among the prestigious winners of the international F3 grand prix in Macau. No surprise, therefore, to see it back for an additional season in FR 3.5. Especially since this year, he will have all the necessary means to fight from start to finish for the title, and why not succeed Robin Frijns. Before climbing a new level?
