FR2.0 – Fenestraz performs at the Red Bull Ring

Sacha Fenestraz (Josef Kaufmann Racing) scored his third victory of the season in Formula Renault Eurocup by winning Race 2 at Red Bull Ring (Austria) where he started on pole. The Franco-Argentinian kept the lead at the start and resisted the attacks of Will Palmer (R-ace GP) without being able to widen the gap, the race having been interrupted by two safety cars for clashes in the peloton.

Gabriel Aubry (Tech 1 Racing) completes the podium after giving in to the Briton, while Max Defourny (R-ace GP) slipped in the standings to 8th after starting from the second row. Race 1 winner Max Fewtrell (Tech 1 Racing) and Daniel Ticktum (Arden) complete the top five. The Red Bull Junior Team resident is under investigation by the stewards.

Sacha Fenestraz takes advantage of the poor performance of Robert Shwartzman (R-ace GP) only 9th to increase his lead in the Drivers' standings. The leader of the Formula Renault Eurocup leaves with 27 points ahead of the Russian and 29 points ahead of Will Palmer.
