FR3.5-C2: Ellinas and Strakka resist the rain at the Nürburgring

Strakka Racing comes out on top in Formula Race 2 Renault 3.5 Series at the Nürburgring (Germany) with a double achieved by Tio Ellinas and Gustav Malja. The Cypriot and the Swede were the most effective in the changing weather of the Eifel circuit, after starting on a drying track and having to resist the return of the rain in the final laps.

Nyck de Vries (Dams) completes the podium in front Alfonso Celis Jr (AVF) and Yegor Orudzhev (Arden Motorsport).

Oliver Rowland (Fortec Motorsports) had high hopes of repeating its performance from the day before, but the Championship leader spun on the first lap. After having made a good comeback from last place, the Briton snatched the point from last place at the expense of his direct rival Matthieu Vaxiviere (Lotus) trapped by late downpour. The Frenchman is 50 points behind the winner of Race 1.

Tom dillmann (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) ranks 14th after having evolved at the forefront. But the Frenchman had a long first stint and had already lost too many places when he stopped. His compatriot Aurelien Panis (Tech 1 Racing) retired due to a mechanical problem.
