FR3.5 – Vaxivière in the lead at Motorland Aragon tests

On the Motorland Aragón circuit, Matthieu Vaxivière, the member of Lotus F1 Junior Team posted a lap time of 1:40:635 allowing it to beat the driver of the Red Bull Junior Team, Dean Stoneman (DAMS), and SMP Racing protégé, Egor Orudzhev (Arden Motorsport).

Eleven teams and twenty drivers confirmed to date could continue their preparation for the 2015 season while Roman Mavlanov (Zeta Corse) joined them.

Roy Nissany (Tech 1 Racing) set the first timed lap before seeing his teammate Aurélien Panis (Tech 1 Racing), Tom Dillmann (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin), Jazeman Jaafar (Fortec Motorsports), Oliver Rowland (Fortec Motorsports) and Matthieu Vaxiviere improve your brand. Midway through the session, Tom Dillmann took the lead again, but after a brief red flag caused by Egor Orudzhev, Jazeman Jaafar and Matthieu Vaxiviere responded. The latter completed a lap in 1:41:331 to beat the Malaysian. Oliver Rowland, Tom Dillmann and Gustav Malja (Strakka Racing) completed the top five in a session concluded with start simulations.

First on the track, Nicholas latifi (Arden Motorsport) saw his time beaten by Roberto Merhi (Pons Racing), present in Spain twenty-four hours after his first F1 race in Kuala Lumpur. Tom Dillmann then took the lead, but thirty minutes from the checkered flag, Matthieu Vaxiviere took the lead. After a brief interruption to remove Philopaz Armand from the gravel trap, the final sprint allowed the Frenchman to improve to 1:40:635. He was half a second ahead of Dean Stoneman, Egor Orudzhev, Jazeman Jaafar and Tio Ellinas (Strakka Racing).
