In a lively and above all very eventful race, Gabriele Mini (Hitech GP) played the role of the opportunist to sign his second success of the year in FRAC four weeks after that obtained in Abu Dhabi already.

Third on the grid, the Italian driver quickly overcame Dilano van't Hoff (Pinnacle Motorsport) to move into 2nd position, chasing leader Pierre-Louis Chovet (BlackArts Racing). If he had difficulty keeping up with the Tricolore's pace, Gabriele Mini would receive help from the Safety Car twice following the stop on track of Jak Crawford (Abu Dhabi Racing) and the collision between Oliver Bearman (Mumbai Falcons) and Paul Aron (Abu Dhabi Racing).

Asked to return the position to Pierre-Louis Chovet for overtaking from the outside during the first restart, the Transalpine rider did not give up during the 2nd and took control of the race for good while the Frenchman , brought wide of the first turn by Patrik Pasma (Evans GP), fell in the standings.

From then on, the Hitech GP driver had to concentrate on Dino Beganovic (Mumbai Falcons) unleashed behind him to maintain the lead. Faced with pressure from the Swede, Gabriele Mini finally managed to resist to cross the line with only a tenth lead. A meager gap but sufficient to achieve a second success during this campaign in the Middle East.

Leclerc responds

Crowned champion at the end of Race 1 which he won earlier in the day, Arthur Leclerc (Mumbai Falcons) took advantage of the numerous collisions in front of him to move from 10th to 3rd place, thus securing a 9th podium in 14 races. Pepe Martí (Pinnacle Motorsport) and Dilano van't Hoff completed the Top 5.

On pole for this Race 2, Pierre-Louis Chovet missed a great opportunity finishing in 8th place just behind his compatriot Sami Meguetounif (Evans GP), present in the Top 10 for only his 2nd appearance.

Still on the French side, Isack Hadjar was not spared from bad luck once again. In the fight for the podium, the Ile-de-France native was the victim of a collision, seriously damaging his front wing. The end of the race was very difficult for him who ranked 25th.
