FRAC – Race 3: Arthur Leclerc wins and consolidates his leadership position

With two podiums in the first two races, Arthur Leclerc had already done well in the championship. The Monegasque further increased his lead by winning the third and final race of the weekend in Dubai. The younger brother of Charles Leclerc ahead of Pepe Marti and pole sitter Dilano van’t Hoff. The Dutchman signs his first podium in the series. The championship leader took advantage of an error by the Spaniard, too wide coming out of the corner, to take the lead of the race and never let go. After the victory of Sebastian Montoya in race 1 and that of Dino Beganovic during the second, the Mumbai Falcons team performed flawlessly during this third weekend of the season, even achieving a hat-trick on Saturday.

On the French side, Pierre-Louis Chovet took seventh place and Owen Tangavelou took twentieth place. Isack Hadjar, decidedly unlucky this weekend, was forced to retire. Paul Aron and Levente Revesz also had to abandon while Amna Al-Qubaisi was unable to start due to a technical problem. In the championship, Arthur Leclerc now has 131 points. Pepe Marti has 96 points and Sebastian Montoya, who will be replaced by Oliver Bearman for the last two rounds, 92. Hadjar fell to fifth place with 71 points.

Next meeting, Saturday February 12 and Sunday February 13, still at the Dubai Autodrome.
