Leader with 40 points ahead of Pepe Martí (Pinnacle Motorsport), Arthur Leclerc (Mumbai Falcons) had the possibility of being titled from the start for the last meeting of the year near Abu Dhabi. He then only needed to score 10 points more than the Spaniard during Race 1 to secure the title.
Author of pole position, the Monegasque was virtually champion since his Iberian rival only started 6th and even missed his start, thus falling beyond 15th place. Meanwhile, Arthur Leclerc mastered his subject and retained control of Race 1 without any problem ahead of his teammate Dino Beganovic and Jak Crawford (Abu Dhabi Racing).
Alone in the world as often in this final stretch of the FRAC 2022, Arthur Leclerc then only had to perform. A task perfectly carried out by the brother of Charles Leclerc who crossed the line 3 seconds ahead of Dino Beganovic, thus winning the first title in car of his career while Pepe Martí ranked 12th after his setbacks.
Lying in ambush behind Jak Crawford and despite his attempts to overtake him, Isack Hadjar (Hitech GP) settled for 4th place. The Ile-de-France resident attempted a few attacks but was never able to gain the upper hand over the American who did not hesitate to strengthen his defense to preserve his place on the podium. Paul Aron (Abu Dhabi Racing) completed the Top 5.
