GP3 – Alexander Sims imperial during Race 2

This is what we call a winning return. Alexander Sims won the second and final GP3 Series race at Spa-Francorchamps. The Briton, who replaced Eric Lichtenstein at Carlin this weekend, thus signs his second victory in this category, after that obtained in Turkey during the inaugural round of the 2011 season. Currently entered in the FIA F3 European Championship, Sims had already stood out this season at the Nürburgring in GP3 by competing with Status and taking a 2nd place in Race 2.

Behind the winner of the day, we find two ART Grand Prix drivers, the American Conor Daly (ART Grand Prix) and the Argentinian Facu Regalia (ART Grand Prix). Notably, the two men finished in the same place on the podium just as during Race 1, contested this Saturday. With this third place, Regalia maintains the lead in the Drivers' Ranking with 115 points, even if he concedes a few small points to his teammate Daly, now 2nd with 101 points in the championship. Author of a “without” weekend, Tio Ellinas (Marussia Manor Racing), fell to 3rd position.
