GP3 – C2: First victory for Dorian Boccolacci

At the beginning, Dorian Boccolacci (Trident), who started second, remains in contact with his teammate, Ryan Tveter, who started in pole position. After three laps, the Frenchman managed to pass the American on the outside to take the reins of the race. Further on, the peloton comes alive with all the drivers remaining less than a second from the driver in front of them.

The two drivers who lead this race are the two drivers Red Bull, Dan Ticktum (DAMS) and Niko Kari (Arden) with numerous overtakes. But the Briton received a penalty of 5 seconds added to his racing time for having overtaken Steijn Schothorst (Arden) outside the limits of the track.

In the last laps, the race gets carried away with several incidents between Schothorst and Lorandi on the one hand, then still with the Dutchman and Niko Kari, offering additional places to George Russell (ART GP) and Anthoine Hubert (ART GP), author of a great comeback.

Dorian Boccolacci wins his first race in the GP3 Series to conclude his first season in the category. He is ahead of Ryan Tveter who benefits from Dan Ticktum's penalty to give Trident a double. Russell and Hubert ahead of Kari who finished the race with a damaged wing.

Bruno Baptista (DAMS) crosses the line in 7e place ahead of Arjun Maini (Jenzer), Kevin Jörg (Trident) and Jack Aitken (ART GP) for the top 10. Giuliano Alesi (Trident) completes its comeback in 11e position and Julien Falchero (Campos), convalescent, finishes 16e.
