Igor Fraga joins Red Bull Junior Team

Le Red Bull Junior Team is gaining new hope for the 2020 season. The Brazilian Igor Fraga, third in the Formula Regional Europe and winner of the Toyota Racing Series NZ this winter joins the energy drink detection program. 

The 21-year-old hopeful is best known for being the first FIA Gran Turismo Nations Cup champion on PlayStation 4. In 2020, he will discover the FIA Formula 3 within the Charouz team.

 

“This is a very important step in my career, He says. Since I was a kid, I have always dreamed of being a champion of Formula 1. But over the years, I realized how difficult it is to achieve it. But I never gave up and I keep trying.

I chose a different path by running in Esports. My Gran Turismo victory changed my situation. Since then, I feel like I have a real opportunity. Joining the Red Bull Junior Team reignites this dream and gives me even more motivation. »

In 2020, the Red Bull nursery will also take care of Juri Vips in Super Formula, Yuki tsunoda en Formula 2, Jak Crawford and Jonny Edgar in German and Italian F4, and Jack Doohan, Liam Lawson and Dennis Hauger in FIA F3.
