Josh Pierson finds the car. The 16-year-old American has signed up with HMD Motorsports for the 2023 season of Indy Lights, the antechamber of IndyCar. This year, the Portland native became the youngest participant in the 24 Hours of Daytona and then in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as the youngest winner in WEC Asked 1000 Miles of Sebring.

“Age is just a number and on the track we are all competitors, explains Josh Pierson. It won't be easy, but I have my own goals and the team has plans for me as well. I am excited to begin the next chapter of my motorsport career. » 

This doesn't mean Josh Pierson is giving upEndurance however, since the American has already been confirmed by his team United Autosports for the next season of the World Championship. “Although I will continue in the WEC, I could not pass up the opportunity to join HMD Motorsports and continue my career as a single-seater driver in the United States. »

Josh Pierson will make his debut with his new team at IndyLights testing on October 21 in Indianapolis.
