The Renault RS 01 in the VdeV Endurance Series in 2015

The RS 01 of Renault had been made official last summer, after several months of teasing. This prototype animated by a Nismo-developed 6-liter twin-turbo V3,6 with 500 hp, and offering performance between the GT3 and the DTM, will participate, as we already knew, in the Renault Sport Trophy in 2015, as part of the World Series by Renault.

This Friday, the Losange announced the participation of its new weapon in the VdeV Endurance TV Shows. Some modifications will be made to the RS01 for the occasion. The carbon brakes will be replaced by steel brakes. The engine mapping will be reworked, as will the aerodynamics. The tank capacity will be reduced from 150 to 100 L and only the Gentlemen Drivers will be able to take the wheel in the series. The car will compete for the first time in VdeV during the first 2015 tests, organized on March 6 and 7.
