Second in the A1GP before the last trip to Brands Hatch, Ireland – with Adam Carroll – achieved the feat of taking both pole positions.

Ireland takes the lead

Carroll first beat Mexico, the Netherlands and the USA in qualifying for the Sprint Race without using his power boost before placing ahead of Monaco, the Netherlands and Switzerland for the Feature Race.

“It’s a good start,” says Adam Carroll. “We are where we wanted to be: as close to the front row as possible. The car is very competitive. We were still uncertain before qualifying but it was enough to put on new tires to be reassured. »

Neel Jani, the Swiss driver, will start from eighth position during the Sprint Race. Nicholas Cheers, who defends the French colors, will be in twelfth and fifth position.

“I'm not too disappointed because I knew we weren't very competitive here,” explains Neel Jani. “The car understeers too much and I lose time in the slow parts. During the races, we will have to attack hard. A good strategy could help us. »
