Liuzzi makes his opponents tremble

In no way hampered by the various red flags which interrupted the two qualifying sessions for the Sprint Race, Vitantonio Liuzzi allowed Italy to take its first pole position in the discipline. He was ahead of Robert Doornbos (Netherlands) and Adam Carroll (Ireland).

Tenth time for Clivio Piccione (Monaco). Nicholas Cheers (France) ranked 18th ahead of China and Switzerland, last.

Doornbos did even better during qualifying for the Feature Race by setting the best time ahead of Adam Carroll, Neel Jani (Switzerland) and Adrian Zaug (South Africa).

Ninth time for Clivio Piccione ahead of Vitantonio Liuzzi, Nicolas Prost ended his day with a nineteenth and penultimate time.
