Olympiakos surprises Liverpool

As is often the case, the departure was decisive. If, in Superleague Formula, it is launched, some drivers were surprised. Starting in pole position, Antonio Pizzonia (Corinthians) tried to surprise Adrian Valles (Liverpool) while braking before escaping. The Brazilian brakes so hard that the Spaniard hits the back of his car, fortunately without damage. Esteban Guerrieri (Olympiakos) took the opportunity to take the lead. From the first laps, the three men fly away and the rest of the peloton will not see them again.

During the refreshments, Adrian Valles did well and found himself in the lead halfway through the race. He then clearly leads the debates, Guerrieri and Pizzonia fighting for second place. It was ultimately the driver of the Olympiakos single-seater who won, and set off in pursuit of Adrian Valles. Returning to the front, Guerrieri puts pressure on Valles, whose braking error allows his opponent to overtake him. At the end of the 45 minutes of racing, it was Esteban Guerrieri who won the first round, ahead of Adrian Valles and Antonio Pizzonia. All three men are qualified for the super final.

On the French side, the results are mixed. For his first race in the discipline, Sébastien Bourdais (FC Sevilla) finished in eleventh position, taking advantage of a few retirements and having overtaken Nelson Panciatici (Olympique Lyonnais) on a regular basis. The best ranked Frenchman is Franck Perera (AS Roma), who finished in seventh position after a serious race.
