« What happened is very clear by looking at his on-board camera… just look at the angle of his head, Rahal railed. I knew that Romain was going to try a dive, I had been warned of his practices. Look, we were already right there, why is he spinning on me? I'm just frustrated because it's not the first time. Already in Saint Petersburg, he touched everyone he could touch. As another pilot on the show told me, you can't teach an old dog new tricks (Sic), it was already its reputation in Europe, and we quickly become familiar with it here »

At the end of the Alabama Grand Prix on 1e Last May, Graham Rahal did not mince his words against Romain Grosjean. In Barber, the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver particularly criticized the Frenchman for his aggressiveness on the track with contact on a few occasions during the race.

Fifteen days later for the Indianapolis Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean logically did not escape questions concerning his little brawl on the track with Graham Rahal. A subject that the Andretti driver did not dodge.

« I fly the way I like to drive, he insisted on speaking to NBC. This is why I came to IndyCar, I knew the level was high and that I was going to take advantage of it. I understand the anger in the moment, we sometimes say things that we don't necessarily mean. But honestly I don't care. Everyone has my number or can come see me after the race. I think it was a good race and I loved it. I went to him and apologized for the 2nd contact. I lost the rear end, I was understeering and I didn't do it on purpose of course. It's behind us now. » The episode may be over, but it is not certain that Romain Grosjean and Graham Rahal will go on vacation together.
