Mark Webber, who owns the MW Arden GP3 team, took the first laps of the new car on Tuesday at the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet.

Mark Webber unveils the GP3

On the occasion of the presentation of the news car GP3, the press as well as the ten teams which will participate in the series in 2010 made the trip to Castellet on Tuesday. For the occasion, Mark Webber took the wheel of the car to complete 19 laps on the Paul Ricard circuit in 3A configuration. The Australian who owns the MW Arden team with Christian Horner, the director of Red Bull, delivered his first impressions at the end of the session.

« I am pleasantly surprised by the new GP3. This is my first experience driving the car and I can honestly say it's like a little F1. I find many things that I am already used to, such as the steering wheel gear change and the clutch system. Of course all this on a smaller scale " Webber said.

The Australian then praised the merits of the new series. “ The biggest advantage for this championship is to race on Formula 1 weekends. This will give more exposure to the drivers and all the team principals will watch them. ", he added.
