Max Fewtrell doubles the stakes at Hockenheim

Winner in race 1 yesterday, Max Fewtrell (R-Ace GP) took advantage of the setbacks of Christian Lundgaard (MP Motorsport) to win this Sunday in the Eurocup Formula race Renault 2.0 at Hockenheim and put themselves in an ideal position to aim for the title in Barcelona in a month.

Second behind Lundgaard for a long time today, Fewtrell benefited from Lundgaard's mechanical problems after the restart following the entry onto the track of the safety car, deployed to evacuate the car immobilized in the gravel trap of Victor Martins (R-Ace GP).

Lundgaard approaches the hairpin on the German track under pressure from Fewtrell, and at the exit of the corner, suddenly slows down, visibly slowed down by a technical problem. Enough to offer a significant success for Fewtrell in terms of the general classification while Lundgaard loses big this weekend.

The podium of this second race is completed by Oscar piastri (Arden) and Yifei Ye (Josef Kaufmann Racing). In the French clan, Charles Milesi (R-Ace GP) took eighth place, Arthur Rougier (Fortec Motorsport) 10th, when Thomas Neubeuer (Tech1 Racing) joined Martins on the retirement list.
