RPM Racing will ensure the future of the FR 3.5

A few weeks ago, Renault Sport announced that it would cease its involvement in Formula Renault 3.5. The future of the discipline remained up in the air, while negotiations were underway. RPM Racing, promoter and partner of the Losange firm, announced this Friday on the sidelines of the Silverstone event, having resumed ownership, responsibility, management, promotion and organization of the category on a contract running over three seasons from 2016.

“I want to announce today that the philosophy of this new championship car, from 2016, will be the same as I have revealed since 1998, when we created Formula Nissan, the World Series by Nissan 3.0 or Formula Renault 3.5: more affordable, more epic and faster. » admits Jaime Alguersuari Sr, general manager of RPM, in a press release published today.

The name of this future championship will be revealed in the coming months.
