Superleague: Franck Perera back

Franck Perera, seen furtively behind the wheel of the car from AS Roma last year, will take the seat of the Flamengo car during the second round of the 2010 Superleague Formula season. He replaces Duncan Tappy, who had done a good job at Silverstone at the start of the season.

« It's a rich man's problem that we know at CJ Motorsport, recognizes Serge Celedibachi, who recalled Franck Pereira to drive the Flamengo car. It's as if we were sidelining Steven Gerrard and replacing him with Franck Ribéry! Franck (Perera) is an exceptional driver and he has proven in the past what he can do in Superleague Formula. Duncan Tappy did a really good job for us at Silverstone and put Flamengo on the podium. He will certainly return during a next round. He will support Franck, just like Bruce Jounny, in the spirit that we maintain. »

« I'm happy to be back, says Franck Perera. I have driven in many championships and I have to say that this is one of my favorites. I even refused a wheel in the IRC (Indy Racing League) to be available for the Superleague Formula. The car is really good, the field is strong, the fans are incredible and the whole Superleague team is doing a very good job. Duncan had a good first round at Silverstone last month. It's up to me to take over, I can't wait! »
