Susie Wolff appointed director of the F1 Academy

The brand new 1% female F100 Academy championship now knows the name of its director, and it is none other than Susie Wolff.

While the grid for the 100% female category fills up little by little, the F1 Academy will have as its director… Susie Wolff. The former driver will be able to combine her experience on the track and as a development driver for the structure Williams, but also his qualities as a Team Principal developed at the head of the Venturi team in Formula E. At his side, the general manager of the championship Bruno Michel will manage the operational aspect of the F1 Academy

« The F1 Academy is an opportunity to drive disruption in our industry by creating the best possible structure to find and nurture female talent on their path to the motorsport elite, on and off the track, says Wolff. The championship will see 15 drivers from five different teams compete during the 21 races scheduled in the calendar. The structures that line up on the championship grid include ART Grand Prix, Campos Racing, Rodin Carlin, MP Motorsport and PREMA Racing.
